About Us
Murray Districts Arts & Crafts Society Inc (MAAC) was founded in 1974 under the guidance of its first president Terry Caraher, with the vision to foster community engagement in arts and artisan crafts within the Peel Region of Western Australia and that remains its primary objective.
MAAC moved to the newly restored Edenvale Heritage Precinct in 1983. Potters, painters, printmakers, lead lighters wood workers, textile artists, knitters, and more - "The Society" comprises a wide range of Artisans. The group proudly displays and sells original art pieces in The Shop.
MAAC holds a range of events throughout the year to showcase members' fine art and artisan crafts and supports other activities in the Edenvale Heritage Precinct building a sense of community.

Vision
Expand workshop and teaching program to cater for multi-generational groups, multi cultural interests and support both emerging and experienced artists in well equipped spaces. Build awareness of mental health and wellbeing through creativity and social connection.
Mission
MAAC coordinates varied art programs and exhibition spaces for our members and the wider community. We build a sense of inclusion through participation in artistic pursuits.
MAAC is a not for profit organisation run by volunteers. It is funded by membership fees, commissions on art and artisan sales, classes and workshop ticket sales, fund raisers, donations and grants. A Management Committee is elected every 12 months. Sub Committees are formed to manage The Shop, Workshop Calendar and as required for special events or to address administration and regulation changes.
MAAC is always looking to welcome new members to join its eclectic range of Artisans.
